Welcome to the American Insurance Association’s (AIA) Action Center. This Web site was created specifically for the valued employees of AIA’s member companies.  I hope you will use this site as a resource during the 2010 legislative session and upcoming election.

This is a critical election year.  There are 37 governorships up for election, 36 U.S. Senate seats, and potentially control of the U.S. House of Representatives.  In addition, virtually every state legislature is holding elections.  Given the important issues at stake it is hard to see a time in the future where there is as much at stake as in this election cycle.
 
Of course, the site’s value rests largely in your hands.  While AIA assures its members a role in shaping public policies affecting an increasingly complex insurance marketplace, it is most important that insurance sector employees express their views not just on Election Day but throughout the year.  After all, you’re our most effective advocate.

I encourage you to browse through the AIA Action Center and take advantage of the tools that are available to you.  The site contains timely grassroots action alerts, as well as helpful voter information including voter registration, absentee ballot information, polling locations and candidate information.  Please do your part to ensure that our elected representatives hear the voice of America’s insurance sector employees loud and clear in 2010 and beyond.
